Grand Canyon, Arizona

 

A group of us gathered for a friends birthday glamping at the Grand Canyon for a weekend. Below are some of the views while hiking Bright Angel Trails, to Indian Gardens and onto Plateau Point where we were able to see the Colorado River.

After making it into Indian Gardens, its another 1.5 mile hike out to Plateau Point. Thankfully, this portion is flat but the temperature rises quickly. To get down to the river, its about another 1.5 miles from Indian Gardens, however unlike the hike to Plateau point its completely straight down and no clean water source. That’s where a lot of people get in trouble having to do the 1.5 mile back up. One of these days, hopefully we’ll get to camp down in there.

 

On the last day, after hiking 13 mile total, 3000 feet descent and ascent, we treated ourselves to a guided tour of the south rim and finished off the day with a sunset view from Grandview Point.
