Koh Rong, Cambodia
Koh Rong is a small but popular island off the south west coast of Cambodia, full of colorful drinking areas, white sands and coral reefs. Got to spend about 3 days on this beautiful island mainly relaxing as the last big destination for my travel abroad before heading back to the United States.
Traveling To and Around
Getting to the island requires a boat for hire, we left from Sihanoukville without much knowledge of the island we were traveling to. Once we arrived, we learned the only real way of getting around was via boat, as there are no traditional roads on the island. If the tide is right, you’ll likely get to your destination by boat. If the water conditions are creazy, like they were on our way out, you’ll have to take a very bumpy trail via scooter.
The Views
We ended up spending all our time at Nice Beach Bungalow on Coconut Beach. Can’t beat these views to wake up and go to sleep to.
The Locals
Just north of where we were staying, the local neighborhood with folks living their day-to-day life. I even got escorted around by one of the local kiddos.
